Laminated Glass

Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is produced by bonding two or more glass plates together under heat and pressure using special polyvinyl butyral (PVB) layers.

This type of glass minimizes the risks associated with glass breakage because, in the event of breakage, it holds the pieces in place. It is used not only to prevent injuries that may occur in accidents but also to protect life and property against external impacts.

Laminated glass prevents or delays entries in attacks and burglary attempts using tools such as stones and sticks, thanks to the PVB layers. Additionally, it contributes to sound insulation and blocks the passage of ultraviolet (UV) rays, which can cause fading of colors in items and fabrics, by 97%. It can also be used in Isıcam® units.

Laminated glass is a preferred choice in places where life and property safety is a priority. Especially in areas where glass breakage can be dangerous, such as:

- Glass panels up to 80 cm above the ground,

- Continuous glass panels from floor to ceiling,

- Glazed doors and glazed sections of door frames,

- Overhead glazed sections, Laminated glass usage is a suitable solution for security.
